Exploring the Wonders of Landscape Photography

I’m Alex Tam (Tsz Yeung Tam), a landscape photographer from Hong Kong.

You may not often hear of fine art landscape photographers coming from Hong Kong. Growing up in a dense, fast-paced city, I discovered that my deepest creative energy was drawn to wide open spaces, dramatic light, and remote natural landscapes. That passion pushed me to look beyond my immediate surroundings and travel as far as determination would take me.

In recent years, with the aurora reaching some of its strongest cycles, I have returned frequently to Northern Europe — especially Iceland and Norway — chasing the northern lights and revisiting many of the places I love most. One of the most unforgettable experiences was standing on the black sand of Iceland under a sky that refused to clear. The weather there changes in minutes; strong winds are almost constant, and clear skies can feel like a rare gift. After long hours of waiting in the cold and wind, the clouds finally parted and the aurora unfolded in vivid green and purple — a moment that rewarded every bit of patience.

Beyond the aurora, my journeys have also taken me to the cypress hills of Tuscany, the lavender fields of Provence, the misty peaks of the Dolomites, and the quiet winter landscapes of Hokkaido.

Photographing these places has always been an exercise in patience and presence — waiting for the exact moment when light, weather and atmosphere align. Through my work I want to share not only the beauty of these distant landscapes, but the feeling of standing there: the awe, the stillness, the sense of wonder.

Every fine art print is carefully produced with museum-quality materials and archival inks, so the colours and details remain vivid for generations. Each piece is my way of bringing a fragment of these wild, beautiful places into your home.
